April has been a busy month!
The SIEF conference in Lisboa was great and I had interesting discussions with old and new colleagues about digital culture, ”scapes” and cultural heritage (and much more!).
One of the plenary speakers was Charles Briggs, University of California – Berkeley. His work and writings have been a source of inspiration in my research and I was glad to finally meet him in person.
It was a rather big conference, with about 900 participants and many interesting talks. It was of course impossible to attend all of them, and I had wished more of the delegates would tweet! Although there was no official hashtag, a few of us created some twitter flow using #SIEF2011.
Beside conference participation, application for research funding and usual article writings, I have conducted interviews for my project- and more are scheduled for this month.
